The
psychological maturing and the spiritual journey of
a human is from the core outward. In the imagery of
music, the child learns first to sing a simple note
. . . then a melody follows, then the heart expands
the melody into a harmony–becoming a theme,
growing from theme to a song and a song to a
symphony. Not only every woman, but every one, male
or female can identify with the pain, joy and hunger
for understanding, the search for Love and need to
Love told in ALTAR MUSIC.
Elise, the
culmination of three generations of women living in
Minnesota, follows her family history of women
killing their passions to protect their souls.
But in Elise, the core note is strong and it
sustains her through the darkness of almost losing
herself. Within her story, and in the stories of her
mother and grandmother, I found a theme affirming my
own humanity. ALTAR MUSIC is the literary symphony
of a truly gifted soul. Review

Written by Jean
M. Auel, this book (the first in the
"Earth's Children" series by this author)
is a captivating tale of human survival in a young
and un-spoilt land. Following the life of Ayla, a
small child orphaned during an earthquake and
adopted by the Clan of the Cave Bear, we bear
witness to the experiences our ancient ancestors
went through. Sharing in their fears and triumphs,
and the discoveries made that changed both their
world and ours. Ayla's journey from small child to
courageous woman defying the odds to survive, is a
story that should definitely not be missed. Also

Directed by Steven
Spielberg, this is a wonderful film that I have
watched many times. Every time brings a new meaning
and is a testimonial to the strength of a woman's
spirit. FYI: Whoopi Goldberg was introduced to us in
this film. Review

Two brothers living
in rural America, raising cows, keeping to
themselves. A local girl finds herself in the
family way. A friend of the two brothers tells
them, "You haven't experienced enough of the
right kind of trouble", and encourages them to
