Ekkiechat is both an email list and a website. The email list, which
came first, can be joined from the website. The list is a free
speech, open forum. Our love for Eclectus parrots is what brings the
list members together, but development of our relationship as a family
allows all topics to be discussed. Anyone is welcome to join. The
website was created as an extension to the list; a place for the most
common questions about Eclectus parrots to be answered. There is a
chat room where members meet several times a week, a section
explaining common acronyms and terms used on the Internet, especially
as they relate to birds, and a page devoted to helpful links. We also
have sections about toys, supplies, cages, diet, behavioral problems,
Eclectus related products to buy, tips on buying an Eclectus, and
other frequently asked questions. There are also areas where you can
meet members and their birds, and see our awards and webrings. New to
the site is a section showing a baby Eclectus growing from the egg to
weaned stage, and areas with a special parrot rescue organization and
a favorite aviary.
