I am a working mother of three boys. Their ages are 25, 15, and 13.
They all have much more energy than I !!! My oldest son is out on his
own now and is planning to be married in August, 2000. I really
thought this (parenthood) was a job for 18 years but I have since come
to my senses! I have been in the field of education for 29 yrs. I have
taught 5th, 3rd,& 2nd grades, Reading Recovery, and am presently a
preschool teacher with a family resource program. I am also a parent
educator, working with parents of kindergartners and first grades.
I love to travel, love to read, love to SHOP, and really enjoy coming
up with ideas for decorating my home. My husband and I celebrated 30
years of marriage this past July, something we are quite proud of in
this day and age. Of all the things I've done in my life, I truly feel
my greatest accomplishment has been mothering those three wonderful
boys. I really enjoy spending time with my family and my friends. My
friends and I can spend inordinate amounts of very enjoyable time
doing nothing!!! What can I say-it's a true skill!!!
I am looking towards retirement. After working all these years, I
think it will be wonderful to set my own schedule and be my own
boss!!! We'll see.
