Hi ...First let me say ..I am fairly new to the web and am very
excited at the oppourtunities out there to be taken advantage of....I
am particularly happy to find a site that is geared to women. I am
from a small town called Port Alberni...It is also called "Salmon
Capital of the World" *smiling*...and once a year we host a salmon
festival that last three days.....maybe in the future when all of you
wonderful women will show me how to make and maintain a web site I
will include links to my city and Province....
I live on the west coast of Canada..on an Island in the pacific ocean
It is named vancouver Island......Some call it gods country....I look
foreward to sharing with you all....
I am 46 Im single...I have two daughters ....my oldest is named
Josie...she is 26...she has a daughter aged one named Allysa...she
calls me gramma already....*smiling*...
My youngest is 23 and she has two children...Nicholas is 5 I call him
sunshine...cause he makes me happy when my skys are grey lol and my
granddaughter Caitland is 1 also..she has her mothers looks and
temper,,,lol
Just for your info....Me my two daughters and my grandson are all
Capricorns and we were all born on a saturday..!!! Go figure...
I have been many things in my life as I basically relied on my own to
support myself and eventually my two daughters....I was born in
Brandon Manitoba....I worked there at a seed factory and in a
greenhouse along side my mother...memories I shall cherish the rest of
my life.....
from there I came west...smiling ..stopping no where in between...it
was 1973 and everyone was playing guitars and singing on the train and
it carried on as i came off the train in Vancouver,,,I was in love..I
have never been homesick once.....
I did all sorts of things ..from selling rollingstone magazine in
gastown to panhandling....one has to survive,,,,I got a job at
Shaunessy hospital in house keeping...I felt this was not my
future,,,lol.
So I followed my mother out to a logging camp and worked there for
twenty years.....I started in the cookhouse bunkhouse..looking after
loggers...lol
When times changed and the roads came better and better they closed
the bunkhouses.....still haveing to raise my daughters on my own and
not to go on welfare I planted trees..then on road construction as a
swamper...working with excavators and setting chockers behind a D-9
cat in windfall shows...to helping the powder crew with blasts///I
enjoyed working with them...they all treated me good....
..Smiling...but alas my body wont take packing a box of dynamite up a
side hill to blast a snag nor climb a ladder with steel to blast a
quarry...or to pull line to a stump a mile away to get the cat unstuck
out of the mud..lol
..Well now I am a sales rep. for a wholesale paper packaging
company....there are many areas on the net i am looking into...anyone
