I am a single mother(widowed) of a ten year old son,Michael, he is a
bright, funny, wonderful son, a delight to me! I have another
son,Dimitri, who is 24,married,both he and his wonderful wife are
medics in the USN. They have given me two delightful grandgirls, Nova
and Madison. They live in Hawaii just now but will soon be in
Bremerton,WA that is so great beacause they will be closer to me! (I
live in Boise,ID.the city of trees!!) I am an artist, a potter and
metalsmith. Right now I am volunteering my time teaching pottery
classes at L.A.M.P. a clubhouse for people who have mental illness. I
am also going to be teaching a class in beginning pottery through
Community Education. I hope to have my own studio/business open this
year. I will teach pottery on an individual basis as "clay therapy".
The process of making a piece of pottery is a meditation for me. I put
my soul into each creation and I want to share this spiritual
experience with others. It is healing,creative healing. I am a
survivor of the polio virus. I am in recovery from alcohol/drug
addiction. I live a 12 step program and prctice the 12 principles in
all my affairs. I hope to create a wonderful website when I begin my
business. I love life. I greet each day with enthusiasm and close each
day with gratitude. I hope to give more than I take from this world.
My totem animal is the turtle/tortoise. A symbol of patience and
longevity. I hope to live to be 100. I want to be a passenger in a pod
racer(Star Wars)piloted by my grandgirl, superNova the Warrior Woman
of the 21st century!!! I have a guadian dog named Daisy. She is a
sheltie. I love to nuzzle in her fur. I have another pet companion, a
cat, Abra/cadabraalalcazam!, she is young and beautiful! She is gong
to have babies in about 2 months from now and then she will be spayed
(as is Daisy). I am 49 young years old. I am trying to do the
menopause thing naturally with herbs and prayer. I hope that my God
will send me a manly companion with whom to grow old. (I've written
out my request and am trying to be patient. I know the man of my
dreams is out there waiting to meet me (soon I hope). I have many
good friends, both male and female, young and old. I just recently
found a chuch community to join. It is a God church and Michael and I
are looking forward to becoming active members of that community
within the greater community that reaches out to touch even further
communities of the universe! I believe in cause and effect. I take one
day at a time. I try to live in the moment and live it to the fullest.
My motto is "To Thine Own Self Be True". Oh we also have a cocktiel
who lives with us! His name is Amigo and he is a man unto himself. He
is the one I first greet in the morning and the last one I say
goodnight to. He lives by the door we pass through to come and go each
day so he's the "keeper of the door". He whistles at all who pass and
sqwauks if there is an intruder. I love my home. It is comfy and warm.
We have a huge backyard. We feed the wild brids and the squirrels, too.
