I am a single mother of 55 with 2 grown children, now with children of
their own. I have 2 1/2 grandchildren. Australian by birth, I now
reside in New Zealand by choice, having come here for a job 15 years
ago. I find the climate suits as there is not the extreme of
temperature Australia experiences.

I am a registered nurse and work full time in a Rest Home/Private
Hospital setting, having just completed my 15th year on night duty.

Last year (1999) I finally completed the University Degree I had
promised myself when I was young, and in reading an old diary, I found
the words I had scribbled in an old book many years ago - "When my
children grow up, I will become a person again, and gain my degree and
travel to Europe". I have yet to go to Europe, but I'm working on it!!

Having developed severe diabetes 10 years ago, life has its trials,
and is often a struggle as one gets older. But I have achieved most
things in life and own a lovely house in the fair city of Auckland.

To be a woman automatically makes one phenomenal...whew!!
