I am a mother of three children, ages 14, 13 and 7. The oldest and
youngest are boys and my only girl, Becky, plays goalie for a club
soccer team. My oldest boy, Matt, plays baseball and my youngest boy,
Max, is a very smart, nurturing and sensitive boy who has great patience
with the little ones at his babysitter's house.
I am an A+ and a Network+ Certified Service Technician and I am pursuing
my MCSE certification. I just turned 39, and I plan on continuing my
education in Information Technology so that I may be a web or network
administrator.
I maintain several web sites for different organizations, including the
National Funeral Directors Association (http://www.nfda.org) for which I
am paid, as well as some pro-bono efforts for the Inventors Assistance
League (http://www.inventions.org), San Diego International Sister
Cities Corporation (http://www.sandiegosistercities.org) and an personal
educational site entitled "An Interactive Tour of Kenya" (http://
www.fda.net/~mny/kenya/) which was originally a presentation created for
someone pursuing a master's degree in teaching.
Other sites I have built and maintained over the long term include the
County of Los Angeles Public Library (http://www.colapublib.org)--a site
I used to maintain at my last job, County of Los Angeles Rubberized
Asphalt Concrete Technology Center (http://www.rubberizedasphalt.org)
and Capital Bank of North County (http://www.capitalbanknet.com)--I also
designed the new ATM card that Capital Bank now issues to its clients.
In addition to building and maintaining web sites, I write web site
content. Content I've written include the TradeExpert foreign trade
tutorial, newsgroup and mailing list material and the instructions on
how to use the company search database that I wrote for TradePort
(http://www.tradeport.org/ts), as well as several inventor profiles for
the Inventors Assistance League, and some material for the San Diego
International Sister Cities Corporation.
