Hi,
I am a mother of three grown children. I've been divorced for 14 years
(after 19 years of marriage) and have chosen not to remarry at this
point in my life.

My children consumed a most of my free time when they were growing up
and they are a big part of my life even today. One is married and
expecting my first grandchild. One is, unfortunately, in to
drugs/alcohol, so concequently spends a lot of his time in jail. One
has cognitive/physical/emotional disabilities as the result of car/ATV
accident when he was just 10 years old.

I have a wealth of life experience in a variety of areas that have
been very benificial to me as I work with children and their families.

I have 3 college degrees that I have acquired during my life. In 1998
I quit my job at a for a small hospital in Alaska (that I had had for
17 years) and moved to Texas. I am currently finishing up my Master's
in social work at the University of Texas. This is a career change for
me...a big step at my age. I plan on returning to Alaska to work in
the area of children and families.
