Hi! My name is Lois. I have been married three times and each time to
an abusive man. The most I can say is that I survived, and not only
survived, but florished! Not because of the abuse, but in spite of it.
I have succeeded in becoming independent. I have no special education,
own very little in the way of material things, but I have my health
and my sanity and after you've lived the way I have had to live, you
learn to be very grateful for those things! I am alive! I am free! I
can be whatever and whoever I want to be! It doesn't come overnight,
it's taken eight years of steady working and growing to finally
realize that we as women do not have to tolerate abuse in our lives!
If you are a woman in an abusive situation, I implore you, get out of
it! You don't have to live that way. You're worth more!
