Since I began The Phenomenal Women Of The Web in March of 1997, hundreds of thousands of people have passed through this site. Along the way, so many women have either written in the guestbook or sent an e-mail stating that they do not have a website, but still feel that they are a Phenomenal Woman! 

I agree. 

We as women all need pats on the back, and recognition when we are proud of ourselves. All too often, we feel that people might view us as conceited if we applaud ourselves. Ladies... we ARE proud of ourselves, and the time and effort that life itself requires on a daily basis merits recognition. Self-confidence is an important thing to any human being - and I am here to try and nourish your spirit.

If you do not have a website, but would like to be included within TPWOTW, you may join Phenomenal Women Of The Web (without websites). Since you do not have a website to be judged as the basis for acceptance - I believe the accomplishments you have made in your life would be a good starting point for acceptance... such as:

• motherhood
• career (don't forget the juggling act between the two)
• single parent
• WOMAN ON HER OWN
• business owner/proprietor
• obstacles in life that you have overcome - self-help
• survivor
• causes
• contributions of time and dedication
• and just the general stand you have taken as a person; as a woman; as a human being are all the makings of a Phenomenal Woman.

The only requirement is that you must have some access to the internet - and obviously you do - because you are reading this. You must read and agree with the Official Creed of TPWOTW. You do not have to own a website. You will need an e-mail address. A free e-mail address may be obtained from any number of places, such as HOTMAIL.

You must first apply for membership (membership is always free). This is open to ALL women... regardless of your age. If you are accepted into The Phenomenal Women Of The Web (without websites), here are some of the benefits:

• You will be sent via e-mail an official acceptance letter.
• As an accepted member, you will have a profile page (just like a member of the Phenomenal Women Of The Web has) of your own on the internet - that you yourself will fill out (below). The profile page will reside here on www.phenomenalwomen.com. In your own personal profile, you will write an "outline," of your life. The outline will highlight the things about you that makes you YOU (see the list above). 
• You will have the ability to have an Official PWOTW Guestbook within your profile. When a viewer visits your profile, they can sign or view your guestbook if they desire. 
• You will receive the Official Newsletter of The Phenomenal Women Of The Web detailing all the new updates and additions taking place within TPWOTW. 
• Also, if there comes a time when you would like to start a website and need help beginning, you will be given all the help you need from existing Phenomenal Women Of The Web. (It is my hope that this might stir a deeper interest in the internet - and you will create a site on the net).
• If you do decide to create a website of your own - you will automatically become a Phenomenal Women Of The Web. If you chose the optional guestbook with your profile, you guestbook is your book to use within your new site.
