"The Truth About Love"
To promise to love carries burdens and dreams
Masked by disguises, it's not what it seems
You must work at this love each second, each day
For ignoring may cause the other to stray
It can be a gift tied with ribbons and bows
Or rooted in time as the wiser one knows
Whatever the reason, there's love all around
Burning inside our hearts where it's found
Never be fooled by the phrase "It's forever"
Just love day by day, side by side, and together
Just look to your heart to find out what's true
And love with your soul as I have loved you
