Emerging from the dark
She brought light unto the world
Where she walked a moonbeam followed her
Our mother, Eve, like Venus
Had elegance and beauty
I remember, from the beginning...Eve

Emerging from the light
She cast rays upon the dark
Where she moved a sunbeam followed her
Our mother, Eve, like Cleopatra
Had intelligence and wit
I remember, from the beginning...Eve

And so the correlation
Eve, our mother, Adam's wife
Symbolic surely of divining grace
Her heart was love, her body strength
And she did feed the world
I remember, from the beginning...Eve
