CONTENT,
CRITERIA and INSTRUCTIONS
Content:
It is important to keep in
mind, that YOUR square represents and the aspects of your
life that makes you the woman you are. The best way to get
an idea for your square is to look at the quilt itself. Here are a few things you might want to
include on your square when designing it:
- Have your
square reflect the woman you are.
- Consider
having your website title and you name on the square.
- If you have
children, you might want to add their names to the
square.
- You may make
a "family" square. For example - a square with
the words: "The Family of Mr. & Mrs.
Smith."
- The square
might honor the memory of a loved one, family member or
friend.
- If you are
perplexed as to what wording to have on the square --
you don't have to have any wording! Just a square with a
nice pattern will do fine.
Criteria:
Here is the criteria for
the graphics that you design. (1 square per site - if you
have two sites you may submit two graphics) Please not that due the number
of squares on each page, graphics not meeting the criteria
outlined will not be used.
A square must be:
- Be created by you - meaning you are creating the
graphic with images that you own or have a license/permission
to use.
- Be saved in
either .gif or .jpg format. No other formats will be
accepted
- Have a
background of any color other than white
- Be this exact
size: 100 pixels wide X 100 pixels long
- Be no larger in
file size than 7
KB's
- Be viewable by
everyone - children and adults
- A pattern of
some sort. If you opt not to have any wording on it at
all (Plain patterned squares are fine).
A square MAY NOT:
- Be
transparent. Meaning the square must consume the total
size of 100X100 pixels with color extending to all the
edges and corners.
- Have a background color of white
- Be a solid one color block. Please give it a
pattern or texture of some sort.
Instructions
for sending graphic square:
When you have created your square
for the quilt, and are ready to have it added to the Quilt
of Phenomenal Women, click the "CONTINUE" button
below. You will then upload the square to the "holding
queue" of squares. The
"holding queue" of squares is a place where your
square will be held until it is added to the official Quilt.
Having your square officially added live to the Quilt
usually takes about 7-14 days. You will be sent an e-mail
from PhenomenalWomen.com letting you know when your square
is live within the Quilt. You will also receive your tiny
square graphic (see below) to place on your site -
announcing to the world that you have a square in the Quilt
of Phenomenal Women.
 Once
your square has been added to the Quilt of Phenomenal Women,
you will receive this seal to place on your site - linking
it to the quilt.
