This special
division of The Phenomenal
Women of the Web® is written mostly by
the accepted members of this organization. The articles and
stories you will find here, focus on what EXACTLY makes
these women and their sites Phenomenal. This is a
resource site, and as such the articles will remain a part
of this site. As TPWOTW grows, each member has the
opportunity to partake in writing and adding to this site.
Each woman writes the original text, and it is sent to me to
be formatted and added here. Some women will have only
one article, while others will have many, each focusing on
aspects of her life that... is all about her values,
interests, goals, dreams, nightmares, joys and inspiration. Find
out what makes these women truly Phenomenal Women Of The
Web.

About the webrings
within Showcase. Since there are so many diverse
articles within Showcase, I thought it a helpful resource to
add webrings pertaining to the topics. On the index page of
a department, if there is a webring associated with any of
the articles for that department, in the lower right hand
corner there is an icon that points to the ring(s) for only
that department.
When
you see this icon, click on this button to take you
to the associated webring(s) for that article. |
WEBRINGS: Since
there are so many articles and so many rings, I created
their own department with their own separate masthead. Click
here for an example of the webrings in HEALTH. Look for
the icon at the lower right corner of the page, click on it
and see the rings incorporated for health. If a topic has
more than one ring associated with it, that topic is given
it's own separate page. This is done to keep loading
times to a minimum and omit confusion between topics. Also,
webrings come and go. If a webring fragment was placed on an
article, and the webring disbanded, or was not up to the my
expectations of reliability, each story would have to be
altered and the fragment removed. There is also a Webring
Directory. With a central index, it is easier to edit,
add and remove rings as they become available or must be
removed.
NOTE:
A few words about the web authoring of this page. TPWOTW is
written in 800x600 resolution, 24 bit true color, and is
best viewed at that setting. However, you may view it
in any resolution, color or screen size. It is also my
opinion, that the subtle touches of this site, will be
enhanced by Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser. I state
publicly, that I am not taking sides with browsers - merely
stating a fact.
Since the Showcase
debuted, many more resources have been added to the WWW,
therefore, there many be some articles within the Showcase
that were not written by an accepted member of the
PWOTW.
